Profile
Dr. Mayengbam Nandakishwor Singh has earned his Bachelor of Arts (B. A.) from Presidency College, University of Madras, Chennai, majoring in Political Science. He has completed his Master of Arts from University of Hyderabad in Political Science. Subsequently, he has obtained his MPhil and PhD from University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. He has also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma Course in Human Rights (PGDHR).
He has published articles/papers in peer reviewed journals and some of his writings have been published in popular newspapers like The China Post, The Hans India et al. He regularly publishes Book Reviews in national and international journals. Apart from publications, he has chaired Technical sessions in both national and international seminars/conferences.
He has attended several Workshops, Orientation Programme and Research Methodology Courses organized under UGC and ICSSR. He is a recipient of Candeth Memorial Prize, UGC Research Fellowship in Social Sciences and Humanities for Meritorious Students (UGC-RFSMS) and UGC-JRF.
He is broadly specialized in Political Philosophy/Theory, Comparative Politics and Indian Government and Politics. His major areas of research interest include: Social Justice, Human Rights, Modern Ideologies, Caste Politics, State Politics in India and North East India Study. He has joined National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam as a faculty of Political Science. He has been teaching courses on Introduction to Political Science; Political Theory and International Relations.
